About Me
I’m a proud educator at Van Hoosen Middle School. I teach World Studies and Global Digital Leadership. It has always been a passion of mine to help students understand more about the world’s past, present, and future. Learning about the world has always been a passion of mine, as I've taken a keen appreciation to learning about various cultures and traveling to different locations. My DVR is constantly filled with everything from the History Channel, National Geographic, and the Discovery Channel.
Personally, I take pleasure in painting, drawing, and more recently I have a fond interest in photography. Harry Potter is my favorite book and I'm enjoying reading the Hunger Games. I love watching and participating in a variety of sports and I make sure
to root for all the Detroit sports teams. I am a huge music and movie buff. When I have time, I love the outdoors,
camping, running, and especially mountain biking. Most importantly to me is my family. My wife shares many of the same interests
as me. She also shares my passion for education as she is a terrific teacher in Romeo. Also, I have a wonderful son Aiden, who I can't get enough of.

I've been very fortunate to fulfill my passion for traveling in my life. Here's a map of all the places I can remember having visited. Most have been in the last couple of years. I only labeled the main places I've visited in Michigan, but I've pretty much been everywhere in the mitten!
